Ashram Craft Shop

The Mission recently opened a new ‘eco’ craft shop at the Jamshedpur Ashram to promote the sale of home-produced goods, made by the devotees. Maharaj was a great believer in home-based cottage industries and encouraged the devotees and their families to make craft items using local materials such as wooden incense holders, scented incense sticks and woven shopping bags. Homemade coconut sweets and bori (dal nuggets) for curries are also being produced. The shop sells gift cards, calendars and posters and supplies the local schools with a variety of stationery items.

Maharaj’s English books are currently being printed in Bengali and Hindi and will soon be on sale alongside their English counterparts.
