WHEN YOU FEED, SERVE OR LOVE ANYONE KNOW IT FOR CERTAIN THAT YOU DO IT FOR YOURSELF

Every evening prayer meetings are held at the Ashram and devotees from all faiths are welcome to attend. The devotees read from the sacred texts and meditate on the Holy Name or mantra.  Prayer songs are sung celebrating the lives of the great prophets such as Jesus, the Buddha and Krishna. Many of the songs have been given spontaneously by Maharaj and his great Guru, Sree Sree Thakur Anulkulchandra. In this way the devotees continue the tradition of holy SATSANG promoted by Sree Sree Thakur and propogated by Maharaj and his devotees.

Every month Satsang sittings are held which are open to the general public. The devotees and visitors assemble in the Ashram's large temple which was built and dedicated to Sree Sree Thakur and affectionately named 'Thakur Mandir'.

The devotees listen to speeches from the 'Mission elders' who explain their personal experiences from the times they accompanied Maharaj on his overseas travels as well as those that spent many years at his side in India, Canada and the UK. Other speakers talk about their own faith and belief whether they are Christian or Hindu or from any other religion.

A programme of spiritual songs (originally composed by Sree Sree Thakur and Maharaj) are sung by talented local musicians and the devotees enjoy  feelings of spiritual union as they listen to the devotional songs - known as bhajans. The inspirational songs often lead to a rousing kirtan with devotees dancing all around the Ashram calling out the name of God.

To close the meeting everyone is fed specially prepared food known as 'prasad' - food that is offered to God and Guru for their blessing.

Satsang Meetings

THERE IS NO EXISTENCE FOR THAT WHICH IS UNREAL; THERE IS NO NON-EXISTENCE FOR THAT WHICH IS REAL. AND THE CORRECT CONCLUSION ABOUT BOTH IS PERCEIVED BY THOSE WHO PERCEIVE THE TRUTH.......... THE SELF KILLS NOT, AND THE SELF IS NOT KILLED. IT IS NOT BORN, NOR DOES IT EVER DIE, NOR, HAVING EXISTED, DOES IT EXIST NO MORE. UNBORN, EVERLASTING, UNCHANGEABLE, AND PRIMEVAL, THE SELF IS NOT KILLED WHEN THE BODY IS KILLED.
